 IT PROFESSIONALS:

A person who has adopted the field of information technology as a profession is called IT PROFESSIONAL. IT professional are responsible for acquiring , developing , maintaining or operating hardware and software associated with computers and communication networks.


TYPES OF IT PROFESSIONALS:

1- COMPUTER PROGRAMMER:

Computer programmer is a person who writes computer programs. The programs are written to solve different problems . He also modifies an existing program to meet the new requirements or remove errors. A programmer has very good knowledge of programming languages.


2- DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR:

Data administrator is a perosn who designs , develops . implement and maintain the database. He analyzes and determines the most effective way to collect and store data.He is also responsible for the security , backup , and restoring of database. He provides access the authorized users and moniters the performance of the databases.


3- SYSTEM ANALYST:

System analyst is a person who analyzes the data processing requirements for an organization and develops the information system for it . He investigates problems and plans the solution . He also recommends the software and hardware required for the solution. He coordinates with the programmer and database administrator to develop the information system . This career requires an ability to identify problems and find technical solutions.


4- HARDWARE ENGINEER:

Hardware engineer is a person who designs , develops and implements the computer hardware. He also tests, maintains and repair hardware components of a system . The components include processors , circuit boards , memory and networking devices etc.


5- COMPUTER OPERATOR:

A computer operator works with system software for network servers ,  , mainframes and supercomputers . Computer operator moniters computer proformance , install software patches and upgrades , performs backups and restore data as necessary.


6- TECHNICAL WRITER:

A technical writer creates the documentation for large programming projects and writes the online or printed user manuals for computers , peripheral devices and software.

A computer works according to the instructions written in the software. It is also known as program . Different softwares are used to solve different problems . The computer cannot perform any task without a software.  EXAMPLES: Software for creating documents such as MS WORD. Software for graphics such as adobe photoshop.
